Fantastic art whimsical sculpture piece, made to be on a coffee table and be admired, or a conversation piece.
This piece was wheel thrown using a white clay, then it was altered and carved into a Lilly pad pond surrounded by tall grasses. All the details were hand sculpted and hand painted including the fairy sitting on a fire bellied toad, lilly pads, dragonflies and cattails.
Then a cute sculpted frog was added. The glazes used are translucent crackle glossy blue and green.
