This is an in-person two days hands-on workshop on May 31st-June 1st.
I will provide the bisque pieces for you to paint on. You’ll be learning the authentic Cuerda Seca painting technique that originated in Islamic Spain and Portugal in the 10th century. You will start by making tiles or coasters on the first day. On the second day, you’ll be making a vertical piece, either a cup or a bud vase. I will fire the pieces at the end of the day Saturday to be ready for you on Sunday.
All materials and glazes will be included. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
I can only accommodate 6 attendees at once. If I sell out, there will be other dates available in the Fall.
